Our landfills are full of discarded products that have either outlived their usefulness or their desire by their owners. Sustainable Design, Green Design, Design for Dis-assembly, Ecological Design are all trendy terms currently used by those seeking to find a better way of managing all the “stuff” we create. At Deep Blue Design LLC, we do not believe in designing products just to add to our landfills in a few years. Nor do we aspire to design products “just because we can”. When we take on a new client, we often ask the following question “How will this product improve or enrich the quality of the intended customers’ lives?”

It is not a question we take lightly, nor should you the client. Just because a product looks good, wins awards and allocades doesn’t ensure market success. Many factors influence whether a product succeeds or fails in the marketplace. Meeting a crucial need of a targeted audience, is one such factor. Careful, thorough research; thoughtful, inspired design; and attention to detail are all trademarks of our work and qualities we strive to exceed on every project. We won’t sell you the kitchen sink, when all you need is just a washer. Our process is in stages, with decision points along the way allowing for re-direction, deeper exploration, or even walking away if for some reason things just are not going the way our client wants them to.
